Hi, everyone! Today I’ve watched some videos about women’s appearance and beauty and now I’d like to share my impressions with you.

The first video that I watched was about women’s makeup throughout history. It was interesting to learn how women looked like so many years ago. For instance, during Elizabethan era they made their skin paler with powder, used lip rouge as it was in fashion. I was surprised, but they shaved their eyebrows and hairline to make forehead larger. As for Pre-French revolution, it was popular to red cheeks with rouge, to draw fake beauty marks and even paint on veins because pale skin was really valued.

The second video was about the meaning of being pretty. The girls were answering the questions connected with it. And they all said that the most important thing was inner beauty and they adviced us to focus on things that make us feel happy. I undoubtedly agree with their point of view. We should try to find things that make us feel good and deal with those people, who like us because of our personality, not how we look like. However, If we’re happy, we are kind towards people and they notice the beauty that is inside of us and somehow they change their mind about our appearance.

Thanks for your attention!
