Dear future Suzanna,

It’s almost the end of your first year at the University, and I’ve decided that it’ll be useful for you to read this letter while being a sophomore. I think you still remember how cool it was to be a freshman. You got acquainted with all those incredible people, made friends, started writing entries in your blog, celebrated many events with your groupmates and teachers for the first time, and, of course, tried the first peanut butter and jelly sandwich in your life!
In the first entry in your blog you wrote that the greatest expectation from the first year for you was improving your English skills. Of course, you don’t speak English fluently yet, but you have done a good job and now your level is higher than it was in September. You sound more like American in comparison to September again, when your accent was British and American at the same time. However, you could have been much more productive if you had had enough sleep every day. I hope in the second year you don’t have problems with that but if you do, than my advice for you is to stop being a procrastinator and do something with your time-management!
Do you remember how hard it was for you in the beginning of the first year to write stories? It took you so many hours to write several sentences but then something had happened with you, and you finally started writing such stories which seemed interesting to you so it became a pleasure for you to write them. And the same thing was connected with your dialogs written with your partners. I’m sure you still re-read the funniest ones:)
There were so many cool assignments in the first year, including acting in the plays, watching movies, which, actually, was your favorite one because you finally saw "The Grinch" and some other amazing films!
I hope the second year isn’t very difficult for you and you don’t feel exhausted every day. Just remember that it’s okay if something goes wrong sometimes because all the difficulties are temporary, and I’m sure you’ll be able to overcome them!
Hopefully I’ll make good use of this summer. Of course, I plan to rest a lot but it’ll be wonderful to refresh my knowledge by doing something pleasant, like, for instance, watching movies in English and learning new words from them.
Well, I hope you’re happy and you’re enjoying your second year at the University, and all your decisions have made you feel that way.

Love,
Suzanna
